Motion Sickness of Time Travel – A Disembodied Voice in the Darkness
This new tape from ambient royalty Motion Sickness of Time Travel sold out so quickly that I never even had time to post my original write-up for it, but I’ve been jamming it way too hard to not make a post about it. It’s two sides of some of the most ethereal music Rachel Evans has made yet – all warped synth and almost operatic vocals filtered through glowing tunnels of reverb – and it’s without a doubt the oddest and most warped vision Evans has shared with us yet from her MSOTT project. Released on Teosinte, the handmade speciality label known for its limited runs, A Disembodied Voice in the Darkness is a total gem and a truly singular release. And now it’s streaming up on the MSOTT Bandcamp page – so scope now and let’s hope this one gets a reissue somewhere down the line.
