You’ll be able to catch some of my favorite artists – Hobo Cubes, Panabrite, Dirty Beaches, Fletcher Pratt, and many more – doing sets all over North America. Ghostrider – Demons
One of the most solid and promising debuts I’ve come across all year, Demons is the stunning first release from Cologone-based synth overlord Jens Pauly, aka Ghostrider. This one comes courtesy of Montreal powerhouse/fashion-police Hobo Cult Records and is graced with characteristically awesome artwork in a characteristically limited run of 80 tapes. Sorta brings back the same feelings of hearing OPN‘s early stuff for the first time, although Ghostrider’s got some truly original tricks up his sleeve. I highly recommend snapping this tape up quickly – especially if you’re a fan of those deep, fuzzy drones that send chills up your spine. Brilliant.
