Polymer Slug – Cloud Types

Polymer Slug – Cloud Types

The last time we heard from Polymer Slug, it was on his fantastic Digitalis Ltd. release Simple Displays of Control. This album was a huge leap from the Slug’s also-fantastic debut Warm Forms and confirmed Adam Tramposh as one of our most promising artists. Now, we get to hear his follow-up, on the spectacular Kansas tape label Overland Shark. Cloud Types features eighteen improvised pieces of floating, ambient synth heaven, all inspired by patterns and observations of the earth and the sky. It’s a less dense listen than Simple Displays but it’s just as fascinating and powerful. An endlessly replayable album and totally one of the strongest of the year. Massive recommendation!!
